NABJ- Las Vegas became incorporated on August 28, 2019. Since our creation, NABJ- Las Vegas continues to grow our membership and influence focusing on cultivating the skills of black journalists, student journalists and other communication professionals in the Las Vegas Valley. We strive to make the community aware of the importance of diversity and inclusion through advocacy and education.
NABJ- Las Vegas is a 501(c) 3 organization committed to diversity and inclusion in Southern Nevada. We aim to improve the skills of our members, student journalists, and the general public. We also advocate for our members, more diversity in newsrooms and how the black community is covered in the media. NABJ- Las Vegas also works with high school and college students to identify and encourage black students to become journalists, and to diversify faculties and related curriculum.
